Still study

Rain window, Bellingham

Not a case for a client. A study of what we stay with before anyone asks for a film.

The window takes the weather first. Condensation writes over the trees until the forest is only a suggestion. You can sit there long enough to forget you are making anything, which is usually when the picture becomes true.

We do not owe this still a metric. It does not convert. It holds. The ferry is in the same weather, the table is in the same town, the bench is waiting for the cut. If a public film comes from this, it will come because someone in the room was willing to be seen at this speed.

Until then, this is the work: look, write, wait. Shape later.

Grey days, good light.
Sound: rain, then the fridge, then nothing.
Do not fix the fog in post.
